Pricing
A social spot from Syntax Motion starts at 1,000 € net, a commercial or brand film for your website and YouTube at 3,500 € net. The three formats below cover most requests. Every project starts with styleframes that you approve before production begins.
Three typical formats
Most requests fall into one of these three sizes. The figure in the first row is the entry point. Length, number of scenes and the formats you need move it up from there. You get a fixed quote after a 30-minute call, in writing.
| Social spot | Commercial | Brand film | |
|---|---|---|---|
| From | 1,000 € net | 3,500 € net | 3,500 € net |
| Length | 6 to 15 seconds | 20 to 30 seconds | 60 to 90 seconds |
| Formats | 9:16 and 1:1 | 16:9, 9:16, 1:1 | 16:9 plus cutdowns |
| Sound | Music | Music and sound design | Music, sound design, voice-over |
| Best for | Ads on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts | Launches, campaigns, online advertising | Website, pitch decks, trade fairs, investors |
Each format gets a fixed price in the quote, net plus 20% Austrian VAT. Delivery time and the number of revision rounds are set in the quote, because both depend on scope. There is no listed price for TV, cinema or out of home, because usage rights are the largest item there. We cover that in the first call.
Why there is no price list here
Because two films of the same length can differ five-fold in effort. A 20-second spot with three calm product shots is a different job from a 20-second spot with twelve cuts, faces in close-up and a label that has to stay legible in every shot. A fixed price list would either overcharge the small project or underfund the large one.
What we do commit to: two fixed entry prices, 1,000 € net for a social spot and 3,500 € net for the base film, a fixed quote before any work starts, and no extra charge for anything that is in that quote.
What a conventional production costs is set out with sources under commercial cost and brand film cost.
What moves the price
| Factor | Cheaper | More expensive |
|---|---|---|
| Number of shots | few, longer shots | fast cutting with many short shots |
| People on screen | none, or only at a distance | faces in close-up, speaking |
| Your product | simple shape, little text on the pack | lots of text, a logo, reflective surfaces |
| What you supply | good product photos, brand guidelines in place | we have to develop look and material first |
| Formats | one aspect ratio | several formats, cutdowns, languages |
| Sound | licensed library music | sound design, a human voice-over |
The single biggest lever is people speaking in close-up. That is where the most passes are needed and where any error shows first. If your film works without them, it gets markedly cheaper. We say so in the first call, even when it makes our quote smaller.

How a project runs
- First call (30 minutes): idea, goal, budget. You find out straight away whether your idea can be done with AI.
- Offer: a fixed price for the agreed scope.
- Styleframes: you see the look before anything is produced, and approve it.
- Production and rough cut: the first version with music for approval.
- Finishing and delivery: corrections, every format, handover of the files.
If specific real people must appear, such as your team or your customers, or if the story relies on long dialogue with exact lip sync, a shoot or a hybrid production is the better choice, and we say so in the first call. How the options compare is explained in AI video or a traditional shoot. Thinking of making an AI video yourself? That comparison helps with the decision, and what to watch for when picking an agency is in the guide choosing an AI video agency.
Frequently asked questions
How much does an AI commercial cost?
At Syntax Motion a social spot starts at 1,000 € net and a commercial for your website and YouTube at 3,500 € net. The price depends on the number of scenes, the level of realism and the variants you need. You get a fixed quote after a 30-minute call.
Why is an AI commercial cheaper than a shoot?
Shoot days, crew, equipment, locations and talent fees fall away. The work moves into concept, generation and post-production. The difference is largest for spots that would otherwise need several shoot days or impossible locations.
Do you work with clients outside Austria?
Yes. Because no on-site shoot is needed, we work for brands across Austria, Germany, Switzerland and internationally, based in Vienna.
What if I do not like the styleframes?
Styleframes exist precisely so that you see the look before production. How many revision rounds are included is stated in the offer. If we still do not hit the look, you can stop at that point and pay only for the work done so far. Nothing has been produced yet, so the risk stays small.
