Alexander Wagner

Co-founder, production chains
Co-founder of Syntax Motion. Alexander builds the production chains that turn a brief, a styleframe and a description into a shot that holds up next to the others in the edit.
Book a first callWhat he is responsible for
A single good shot is no great feat. It gets hard when twenty shots sit side by side and have to show the same figure, the same light and the same handwriting. That is Alexander's work: the order of the steps, reference images, fixed descriptions, and checking that character consistency holds across the whole film.
Discarding is part of it. For one shot that makes the final film, at least five are produced that nobody ever sees. That waste is not a flaw in the method, it is the method.
When you speak to him
- Motion tests: the third approval point, where you first see how the look moves rather than how it sits.
- Technical limits: when a subject cannot be solved generatively, the proposal for the other route comes from him.
What he works with
Seedance, Veo, Kling and Google Flow for motion, Seedream, Nano Banana, GPT Image and Seed 1.0 for stills, Topaz for upscaling. He tests new models continuously without putting them into production for that reason alone.
Frequently asked questions
When do I speak to Alexander?
At the motion tests at the latest, the third approval point. If technical questions come up in the first call, such as whether a subject can be solved generatively at all, we bring him in earlier.
Can he say whether my subject works before I commission anything?
Yes, and that is the point of asking. If a subject cannot be solved cleanly, you hear it before the offer rather than at the rough cut.
Does he work with one fixed model?
No. Which model a project gets is decided by the subject. New models go through a fixed test before they are used on client work.
Topics he is responsible for
